Severine is from a renowned show kennel, Karaboudjan Anatolians, in Southern California. She came home to Montana and went straight into the pasture. Severine is a very self-assured girl, and recently filtered down to the middle of the working pack when she lost her puppy exemption card with the other dogs.
We selected Severine for her tough temperament, knowing she could hang with the Sarplaninac dogs here. Her independent nature and confidence go a long way towards a working relationship with the other dogs here. She has a rough coat, which means her guard hairs are longer than the normal/tight coated Anatolian Shepherds you see more commonly.
Severine is about to turn two and will get her x-ray health tests in 2021! For now, she has been DNA tested and is clear for Degenerative Myelopathy, PRA, and all the other 100+ genetic diseases Embark screens for.
